Hello everyone,
I'm real newbie to riding and drifters, I put a deposit on a "01" -1500 at a dealer. When I inspected the bike (of course I feel in love with it . . . good thing I'm not a fish and the bike was hook and bait LOL) Problem being that (I really not sure how to describe what I seen but I'll do my best) there is some rubber padding or foam extending from the forks maybe both forks not sure. I push some of it back up the forks. But I been thinking ( thats not right). Can someone tell me what that is and is that expensive job. I'm thinking of calling the dealer and asking them to do something about this or give me by money back. This will be my first bike in about 15 years, I was a novice rider on a Honda CB500. I'm excited about riding the drifter, heck I'm excited about sitting on it again. Is the foam padding an problem.
Thanks - Henry
Under the fork covers? Seems to me there are some strips of light colored foam under the cover that is visible when the fork is fully extended - to keep the cover from rattling/scraping I assume. Don't hold me to that though.
Your best bet is to take it back to them and ask about it.
Cheers.
