Title: 900 mile trip on my drifter
Post by: Kim Hoover on September 04, 2009, 20:05:46 PM
Hey all,
Just got back from a 900 mile Drifter trip. I absolutely love love love her. I honestly don't care what anyone else thinks of her but I do wish I had a nickel for every time someone looks as her and then quips "oh, it's a Kawasaki". Yeah buddy, she is. I'm not at all offended when someone makes this crack, in fact, I find it humorous. I love my bike, the way she looks, the way she handles and the fact that she's one of a kind. I'm just totally excited from the ride and wanted to share my excitement with my fellow drifter lovers. My bike is a 1500 and she has plenty of power yet she is easy to steer and handle. Unfortunately she is very dirty and it will probably take me a few hours to get her back to her beautiful clean self but hey, it just means more time for me to admire her. Ride on friends.

That is the biggest downside to these bikes.  They look so darn good when they're cleaned up that it just makes you want to clean 'em right, and that takes A WHILE!

I'm off to grocery shop and then it's clean my drifter time. I think I may need a cold beer when I (finally) get her cleaned up. It's worth the effort though to have had such an awesome ride.
