I've seen this picture several times on the forums. I've actually found bags nearly identical to this online (with the bolt-on mounts) but when I measured the rear fender of the bike, it had nowhere near enough clearance between the top of the fender to the exhaust.
Does anybody have a clue how the rear-end of that bike may have been modified to it supports those bags?

But I still can't tell if the shock was removed (and made a hard-tail) or lowered so that the exhaust rides lower and gives the extra clearance needed.
If this helps...it's an 800, and it's not lowered, and has a fully functional suspension...She rode it to Alaska a couple of years ago...with her husband the late Hillbilly. Here's the other side..It's a roadhouse exhaust, it believe
