What are you up to this time? I'm in it as well, racing with winter to see who finishes first! I rode my bike on the working table a week ago and project are getting done quickly, new shock, new fork spring and oil, valve job, new pipe, new battery, new horn, new dye on seat and saddlebag, possibly new air intake as well! But would like to do a small ride this weekend! So I put myself under pressure!

So Montreal is clear of snow? Well yes you live south of here, we have snow in the yards still up to my butt. But it is melting nicely.

Are you and the boss going to make Biker Reunion this summer? Sounds like you got a lot done on your ride, so enjoy it.....

This is the last project for the year and will be done and the bike buttoned up for spring thaw.........

It seem like a big job to adjust those valves   :P !!! There is still snow in the backyards, temperature are still just above freezing, and forecast says 4" of snow for the weekend.....but the road is clear and dry!!!!!

ok so you did just an adjustment, correct, or did you have to actually re do the valves, or did you just do a valve check? When I read the book it seemed like a lot of work for a simple check. But once the tank is off it is really not that much work, it is actually pretty simple, imagine once you have to change a shim or 2 then it will get interesting.

Another data point on valve clearance....just checked or I should say finally checked the valve clearance on my 800 with 22K miles on it. No adjustment/shims needed.

As someone at Drift-in said to me: "These things are spiritual man....don't put a wrench to them."
