Kfoster what the heck is a snow day?
We are supposed to get about 12 inches between midnight and 10:00 am tomorrow. I teach school. Weak sauce compared to what Buffalo got in December! Now that was a snow-day!
It's a day when it snows...like what you and I call Monday....
12" that is a powdering of snow......man what a bunch snow day........I'll have to add that to my list of new words learned...
It snowed here last week... but I got up late and missed it.

Whaddaumeen? I was simply relaying a true weather story. I can't help it if you guys are so damned selfish you won't share much of that snow stuff with the rest of the continent.
8) ::) ok to show what a nice lad I am I have packed a nice big box of snow. It is a moving box 4 cubic feet and I am not that slow but I put the snow in a plastic bag to keep it in one place, and I packed it tight and stamped it down. Not I took it to the postal office and it will cost you $29.69 for shipping, of course I shipped it COD....so it should be there soon......

Did you put in any dry ice?
no that would have added weight to it and I want Chief to have just plain old snow......
We did not get hit really hard with snow. The timing was just bad. The snow came between 1:00 am and noon. That meant that we were in the middle of it during the morning rush. That and it never got above around 14 f. So, salt really did not work on the roads. It was kind of interesting.

Called Scootworks a couple of times......No response.
ok Mr. Kfoster are you telling me that is all the snow you have in your yard........that is it.....and you were going to take a day off for snow..........
Hate calling someplace and not getting anything other then "your call is important to us please stay on the line and you will be answered by the next available agent that is free" ...........right then have some one answer the darn phone................
Snow? What snow? That looks like frost to me....I was going to make a smart remark, but I won't :-X
I lived in Waukegan, IL - 12 FEET of snow. I lived in Springfield MA... snow from October to May! I lived in Germany, waist deep snow. We travel to Michigan in Feb on business each year. Etc. Etc. I can even SNOW ski!... sorta... I know snow, just don't want it to move in and live with me.
PS. I will save your box for next Christmas. We get snow about once every 10 years over the Christmas holiday. 8)
Hey Chief, not to stir the pot but you best get back on topic and off the snow, the originator of the post might get upset you have taken his thread and made it a weather thread........you might get your pee pee slapped for that .........by the thread sealing police......
I can fix that - now its a SNOW thread... magic!
We had 12 inches of snow on Sunday. Glad to have it. Keeps the mosquitoes down.
Shut up all of you..
I'm burning 8kw of heaters here just to keep the chill off.
John.
ok so that is cool, wonder why all the school have snow days now, I am going to guess the teachers now a days are not as dedicated as they were when I went to school. I know I am not the oldest person on the forum, and will not mention who are the old people but the one person I'll bet who is turning 66 this month he is like the guy down the road from me who remembers taking a couples pieces of coal to school to keep the school warm during the day, and to keep his slate warm so he can keep his notes on his slate with his chalk.......
oh snowing again right now so in the morning it will be shovel time.......
When I had the KLR a little snow did not stop me from having fun.
