Title: Comparison
Post by: Troll on January 28, 2015, 14:13:45 PM
I'm showing off! Dave Hinton posted some pictures from the 2013 Drift-in, and one of them had me in it....I didn't know he took my picture, and now I'm even more sure I did the right thing by losing 100 lbs.....I can't believe I used to look like this and didn't think anything of it!!!  Needless to say, the current version is on the left....172 lbs this morning....

Congrats, Troll...

Well, at least you have one of those "one size fits all" belts - just keep cinching it up a notch or two, and tucking in the end!!  I'm guessing you had to buy all new pants, though!

Great job! I'll bet you feel quite a bit better?
I can lose about 10-15 pounds, but after a couple of months it finds me again :o

It took over a year, and the change was so gradual I didn't really notice it much until I saw that picture!. Yes, new clothes...I have a really nice 3 season armored jacket with a liner that is now WAY TOO BIG..........I don't know if I really feel all that better, but I can now reach down and tie my boots without having to put my foot up on a chair....

I do believe I've eaten more vegetables in the last year than the 64 preceding it...BUT, I also discovered that I could make them taste pretty good with a little careful planning and execution.

That's just lazy, I don't mind the extra exercise of lifting my feet up to tie my boots.. well maybe tie is a step too far, mine all do up with Velcro.

I went on a trip to Germany in 2004. Bought velcro strapped shoes so I didn't have to mess around during the "security" checks...still have them, I prefer boots.....the down side to being able to just bend over and tie the laces is that my glasses tend to fall off!

Never mind, you look 100% better without the bulge..

You can breath out now.. none of us are looking.

Yes, the belt...the bike is marginally faster...the W is definitely quicker, and I can carry more stuff on my trips, now. All it took is a commitment and reading labels...

Even better yet....    find a parking lot close by, and put your bike in a parking spot - just like the "old" pic - put on the same shirt - just like the old pic - and stand next to your bike pointing - just like the old pic....     'Course, the weather might be a little prohibitive at the moment... ::)

Good idea... I have a doctor appointment Wed. for my 6 month/6000 mile check. They do a weigh in, so I'll be wearing EXACTLY what I wore the last time...
