Title: Grandchildren
Post by: John Hopkins on November 28, 2014, 17:15:22 PM
My grandaughter is 15 and will be 16 in January..She just sent me an email..

Grumpy,Mum won't let me have a ped can you persuade her to get me one please..

The last thing on earth that my daughter will allow is one of her children to own a motorcycle, she doesn't even like them to ride pillion with me..

Do you think my grandaughter will settle for an Ed Sheeran CD?

John.

Get her a radio controlled motorcycle and tell her that until she comes of age that's the best she's going to get.  As for Mom, remind her that God can take you out in a padded room.  When it's your time, it's your time.

This is one I can't do..There are so many idiots out there on our roads, we have thousands of immigrants coming in every year, a large percentage with no papers who buy old cars and don't register them and just run away from accidents..I would get her a bike if I lived close enough to ride with her but I am 300 miles away, She lives in England and I live in wales, with all the speed cameras these days it can take 5 hours to ride that far..

She will have to abide by her mothers rules on this one, and so will I.

John.

With the obvious problem all the "emigration" (yes, that's the word I meant to use) is causing, you'd think that your government would do something about it..but yours, like ours, is stuck in the politically correctness mode. We have basically he same problem you site here in Wisconsin. Mexican illegals buy, or more likely steal a car and then, when something happens, they disappear like smoke in a windstorm. We can only hope that the next election cycle will bring a change that will restore leadership to all the countries of the world, and the problem of no enforceable borders will be corrected. It's pretty sad that a girl, growing up in a country that is famous for a rich motorcycling heritage should be denied because of political correctness....
