I just bought a Corbin 2-Up seat for my 02 1500. I know that taking the original seat off won't be an issue, but not sure how to install the 2-Up. A little confused with all the extra bolts and stuff that Corbin said I needed. Any help would be appreciated.
You MUST have the "horseshoe" bracket under the seat for the 1500 Corbin.

The double saddle setup pics in this link show the horseshoe bracket installed on a 1500 with the Fire & Steel saddlebag brackets. http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/oemsbsetup.html
Most of the parts in that list from Corbin are for the rear foot pegs and hardware to mount them.
To mount the seat you will need the horseshoe brkt and seat stay. This brkt supports the passanger portion of the 2 up seat and MUST be used. It is attached to the bike with 4 bolts. You will also need to use the 2 side mounting brkts from your single seat. Just remove and attach to your 2 up. These seat brkts are not available, I ended up making my own so I would not have to keep switching them back and forth every time I changed seats. You will also have to modify the big washer that holds the single seat in place. I cut the bottom of it flat so that the bar on the 2 up would slide under it. Once you have all the hardware it really isn't that difficult, just slide the seat in place and secure in place with the 2 side brkts and rear stud under the back of the seat. I can swap out the seats in about 5 minutes. Can also take and post some pics if you need them.
