if you haven't done it I recommend it.
Before I did my synthetic change over I fogged my intake with Seafoam and wow its like a new bike.
I did it twice with a good rpm to keep the bike running while going in over the butterfly valves, if you don't keep the rpm up it will stall out which is the second part.
then second part after all the smoke has dies down I heavily fogged the bike until it choked out then let it sit for an hour, then fired up and ran till smoke disappeared.
bike smoothed right out, and ran a bit quieter.
just a warning it produces a crap tone of smoke that does linger if no winds are present so neighbors be ware lol.
so with the synthetic change over and fogging the intake the bike is allot quieter and smoother.
who knows on my end when the last time the bike had any tlc like this but I know I've changed plugs last yr and I'm on my second tank of SeaFoam as well.
I just know all my efforts have contributed to what feels to me like a totally different bike.
not saying everyone will get the same results as I know allot baby there bikes as well but its worth a try it worked great for me.
Sea foam is as close to magic in a can as you can get. There used to be a product available that contained butyl Cellosolve that was even better, but it got pulled off the shelves because it 1 worked, and 2 caused cancer in california rats if they drank it...Sea foam is as close as you can get now a days...
ok Troll I am Canadian and do not understand but why is it everything causes cancer in Californian's or in their rats which is highly offensive to me.....
SilverBack, I never heard, seen SeaFoam till I heard about it here and was directed by 49 to go to Canadian Tire to buy it. So I put 2 glugs into the fuel tank, and 2 glugs into the tranny. What a difference I noticed right after that. So last fall I did it again and went for a ride, came home did a oil change, and removed the fuel tank, as it was time to park for the winter, and in the spring it was so easy to start it. My new winterizing plan.
ok so it caused cancer in rats that drank it... well I know drinking xylene will kill you but its in a crap tone of things lol. how about lets just not drink them lol
and I agree I have never heard of SeaFoam until this board either but I can contest I have seen and experienced proven result well above and beyond anything I have used b4. im sold on it and have and use the motor treatment, the spray clean and deep creep.
I've tried it several times and found it made absolutely no difference to how the bike ran. I think people make the mistake of dumping a can of the miracle cure du jour into their empty gas tank, fill the tank with gas, then amazingly the bike appears to run smoother, which of course it does because the simple act of filling the tank makes the bike run smoother - a full tank of gas does a really good job of damping vibrations. A better test wold be to run the tank near empty, then put in a cup of gas with the appropriate amount of your chosen additive (for a cup of gas) and then see if it runs better.

no flaming but both times I did use it, it was with a full tank.....
It only helps if you have a problem for it to fix. I have used it to unplug injectors on cars, and remove carbon build up from piston crowns. I had a guy with a 5L Dodge truck that would ping on virtually any fuel while climbing a steep hill. Seafoam through the intake via a vacuum line, and all the pinging went away. Had an older Cadillac with 3 plugged injectors. Seafoam cleaned them up in about 100 miles...I used it in my bike to clean out the hydraulic units after it had been "stored" for four years in a barn. Sounded like a cement mixer full of rocks, and then in about 10 miles, it all quieted down...
