Looking for a backrest for my '99 1500. Would prefer black hardware, but its not a deal breaker. Does anyone know of someone selling one, where I can buy one new(ish) or any great ideas/hints on fabricating one myself.

If you fab one up, you'll have to come up with a mount that would probably be similar to the mount I made for my tour pack. I have a couple pics you're welcome to look at. Some of the pics show the pack hanging in the garage, so you'll have to turn your head sideways, which should get a laugh from the wife.

These things are hard to find, but if you keep you eyes open you may find one. There are no sources for new ones - except custom.

Also I have a source for the backrest, grab rails and luggage rack with hardware... its $350 plus shipping from Canada. These are discontinued and hard to find, so the price is fair.
