I would like to change out my standard hand grips with natural rubber, coke bottle type, But how dose one do this on the throttle side ? Dose the rubber & plastic chrome come off the throttle sleeve ? I really just don't want to tare in to it, and end up with a new trashcan decoration. Any help would be appreciated !
Never mind ! Just cut into it and all is fine
lol was just going to go and take pictures and such , but I used ISO grips.....
Try a SAWZALL..... ;D
I'm just going to say this about that...the KAW throttle sleeve is a different (smaller) diameter than the Harley sleeve those grips were probably made for, so you are going to have to make up the difference with something... I used old fashioned friction tape, and then grip cement to hold it together..

Scamp, if you're talking about the natural "surgical" type rubber for the bottle grips, the sun quickly dries them up and they'll instantly start to crack. I bought a pair for my CB 450 and they were ruined in no time! >:( I bought the black rubber for my Drifter and they're still holding up quite well. :)
sh#t....I really like the look of the natural rubber !
funny i ordered a set of black for a old GS750 that I'm carving up into a old cafe' racer.
