....in the 10 years of owning the drifter I've only seen 2 others on the road!!!!! :o and both were 1500's! one was traveling in the opposite direction on the freeway and the other in the parking lot at the Long Beach Motorcycle swap meet. There are tons of motorcyclist here in sunny warm SoCal but rarely do you ever see any Drifters. These bikes were just not popular and I don't mind it at all, just makes them that much more unique to own. Does the Drift In ever happen here in SoCal?

Maybe you could host next years Drift-in, Tecumseh.....
We had one in Utah not long ago ... check out http://www.drift-in.org for info on all past DI's. The folks at the DI decide where the next one will be, so it tends to get "stuck" on one side of the MS or the other for a bit.
I've had my bike for three summers now, and I have actually met:
Driftingirl in person, I met one lad in Kingston (Ride For Dad) who owns a yellow Drifter, saw a Drifter in New Liskeard (Biker Reunion), last year,
This year at the local ride for Dad I met 800 Drifter from Ottawa, and one turquoise 1500 from New Liskeard and we met again at the Biker Reunion. There is a 1500 here in the city but I seldom see it out running about.
Ratman could host one in his town.....
I'd like to see Drift-in come back to Wisconsin but that's because I live here.
Speaking of our "rare bird bikes" I have seen a total of zero Drifters in my area. I used to see a beige 800 now and then but not this year. i have seen five or six new Injuns. Says a lot to see those guys here in Harley country.
We are out there pal !
I live in Sherman Oaks (I have a 800), and I have seen a few 1600's around here, and then over in Simi Valley have seen an 800 roaming around.
P.S. have seen your tips post, very cool.....BUT ! Where did you get the seat !!...and what did you have to do to mount it ?
WoW! Considering the relatively small population here in Sweden, I must be living in the Drifter-densest (is that a word? ;D ) country in the world! I've seen no less than 5 Drifters so far this summer. :D

Bobster
I saw a craigslist ad for one about half an hour away, does that count? If not I haven't seen any.
