Remember that place at the mall where they helped your lady get all dolled up and then they took some pictures?
Something like that happened today in my garage. After the makeover took place, I took Miss Nadine down to the local park for her Glamour Shots. Thought maybe this might inspire some others to do some Glamour Shots of their own, so lets see them!

I took some of mine not too long ago. Downside is that I've changed stuff since then so they're already out of date. I tried messing around with the angles some. I'll just add them all and let you guys decide. As a side note, the rear bag looks way better now with the luggage rack I made.
NICE!!!!
Beautiful bikes!!
Great looking bikes, guys... GD, I'd like to see those luggage rack pictures! I'm looking for ideas.
I can't wait to get the 1500 finished and out of the shop, to get some pics. She'll be sporting some new clothes, new shoes, AND quite a bit of new jewelry too!!!
Not really a "Glamour" shot, but I like this one

All very nice everyone. Keep them pics coming. :D
I like the look of your seat fringe. That's looks like a stock solo seat with the fringe added, or did it come that way?
Nice vintage feel to that pic Zig!
Bucko, you have a good eye! It is in deed a stock solo seat with some fringe I added. I used the same fringe material on that as I did the floorboard skirts and fender skirts. I used it on my tour pack too, to hide some of the gap. Here's a pic with the tour pack, but hopefully this look will be old hat soon. I'm planning a few mods to completely change the touring setup looks.

Here's one I took the other day with a very old camera....
The sepia is real nice in that pic Troll. Sometimes it can be overdone, but that has a nice balance to it.
With sepia and a border.......

Not exactly a glamour shot, but my bike was "vandalized" by some of my coworkers last week. It has stayed on a surprising long time for just being scotch tape. Just thought I'd share. I laughed at least.
some for up here just because......
gdrudd13, that's hysterical!
Ratman, those winter mods really made a big difference, huh? Looks great, but I couldn't help noticing in the first pic that there seems to be an emphasis on the whole "North" thing!
;) just a history lesson, that sign is older then yourself. I'll let you do the studying yourself. But thanks for the compliment, I am already working on the very short list I'll be doing this winter.
did you notice that we have the same wind screen?
.....all except for the trim color!
I had a little left over door trim from the fenders and tank so used on the lower part of the screen, I did see one the other day were it was completely done in the chrome colour one, did not like it.....
Taken at our old place a couple of years ago. Need to get some new pics of it....

Acyually, I just used some E6000 glue ( http://www.walmart.com/ip/Amazing-E-6000-Craft-Glue-2-oz/17808713 ) to glue it on the seat, tour pack, and floorboards. The fringe is deer hide, so it's quite porous and the glue holds it quite well. It's been on since '09 and it's still holding strong. The mud skirts are held on by gluing (same E6000 glue) the fringe to some industrial velcro, and then gluing the other side of the velcro to the inside of the fenders.
Gosh I always love looking at Drifter Pictures!! :) Mine is pretty plain in comparison to some but I love her all the same!!
ah rear fender stays....lol....very nice
and nothing more fun then looking at other Drifters....
Can't get enough. ;D

Nice bike! There is nothing plain about one of these big-fendered beautys!! ;D Each is, IMO, a work of art.
Here are a couple of my favs.
I think it looks great Randy! Love the chopper bag!
Jimb, a classic!
well think dream ride one might be a hard one to get done, but the rest should be easy......really like the pictures a couple of wall hangers for sale at Drift in........

Where did you get the back dear hide? Did you buy a peice of leather and cut the fringes into it or did you buy sections that were already fringed?

You're not going to believe how easy this is!
https://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/en-usd/search/site-search-results.aspx?sectionpath=3&processor=content&p_keyword=fringe
Cut it to length and glue it on......done!
Deer hide is perfect for this because it's the only leather that can get wet and when it dries out it doesn't get all hard and start cracking. It gets a little hard at first, but just scrunch it up with your hands a little and it returns to softness. Other leathers won't do that, so deer hide is perfect for floorboard and fender skirts that see more wetness then most other places on a bike might.
When you have just acquired a second-hand bike, preparing for a glamor shoot can be a bit difficult. This girl was in need of a serious scrubbing and regular waxing regimen.

never thought of jack stands....lol..........cool idea......
I just have them behind a Harbor Freight motorcycle lift to keep the whole thing steady. I am used to racing stands and spools for lifting my bikes. They are much more stable!
Spools.....I saw spools on e bay......ok don't laugh I had to google them to see what they were for because I never seen them on my bike.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vortex-SP402K-10mm-Spools-Black-Kawasaki-VN800-Vulcan-Drifter-2000-2006-/400740149608?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d4df96968&vxp=mtr
So still not sure were you would mount them and how they would actually work.

It is really interesting the focus that Kawasaki put on retro-bikes in the late 90's.
KF, that's true. Troll has another one, a W650. Nice looking garage BTW.
A couple pictures of MA-DEUCE after some winter projects and cleaning . Then with the new bags installed .
While I'm at it guess I better not leave Miss Ruby left out . This is the one I bought from Pilgrim . Pilgrim still haven't had the chance to cut the shield down ... ;D :D :) ;) Sorry guys I wanted to show different set ups such as solo seat , new add on etc. , but I guess my files are to large to post .
D1, buddy both bikes look really good, but I think you need to take them serrated heat shields off and put smooth powder coated black ones on there, to finish the theme of the bike, and to that end to save you the trouble, I'll take the serrated ones off your hands.
But it is a nice looking ride at that theme and looks really good.
On the 1500 is that a Inspire travel Trunk? That is coming along really well.
LOL ... no way Ratty my friend , the serrated shields are there to stay . Nice try though ;) I did however change the mirrors out for some nice looking round ones on the 800 . As for the bag on the 1500 it is a Viking bag . I like it because it locks and you have the option to add locks to the straps as well for double security , I guess ? I have added other things to the bike as well , just can't post them on here do to the size . You know how computer literate I am so I have NO clue how to change the size and all that crap . I've already been there and tried this with no success . Maybe I'll email you some photo's of different set ups I've been running .
send them and I can resize them for you. piece of cake...
Very nice stuff indeed!
Nice shots, KF and D1!!!
D1, I think that picture with the Indian sign might be my all-time favorite drifter photo!!!
My wife and my girlfriend, Winndy & Nadine

both are nice looking ladies......
D1 asked me to post some of his 1500 because he could not resize them...and he is away on duty at present so here are a few of his 1500
More great looking rides, and now I know where to find the deer leather fringe!!
Thanks for posting these Ratman , it is greatly appreciated ;)
GB ... thanks for the compliment , I like the picture with the Indian trailer in the back round as well . I wish I would have taken more pictures that day next to all the Indian bikes and riders .
FINALLY got the 1500 done enough to get it out of the shop. Took her for her first ride with her new outfit on!
More pics on my mods thread, but here's a couple
OH, that is VERY nice GB!
Thanks, PC. Still a work in progress, as I've seen you say before... Still stuff I haven't gotten done yet. This back injury thing is for the birds....
I like it very nice and well done, now were are the rest of the pictures.....

DC those floor boards if you find them look really nice powder coated black also, if going on a blacked out bike.

OK, just cool your jets! He said he liked them.
;) and I agree with him I like them also, but I think in Black it would look good. Not on GB's ride on DC's ride and his wives would like them also. Much easier for a wife to stand on each side when he takes the three of them out.
Well, that's true!

Powder coated black, eh? Might I be detecting an ulterior motive here? ;)
There is no ulterior motive here, but then again your bike is not blacked out and so the chrome will look fine on it for you, you could do them in red or ivory (cream) or even in Tan to match the leather work the ideas are endless. I had mine done in Black to match the rest of the bike......then I did the driver boards in black to match the passenger boards.......it all comes together.
Blacking them out definitely blends well on your bike.
Thank you Mr. DC.
I got this picture this past weekend and thought it was a pretty good one.
