We went out to get some Mexican food tonight. Next to us, there was an older couple, maybe in their 80's. They were sharing a chicken Burrito, meal No. 34 I think. At first they seemed really cute. They set the meal in between them, and the old man was dividing everything in half and putting it on 2 different plates. Burrito, refried beans, rice, etc. They weren't dressed all that well, and remembering my grandparents trying to get by on Social Security, I thought maybe money was tight so offered to buy them a second meal.
The wife just said "We've been married for 63 years", and He said "No thank you, we just share everything". So we left them alone to eat in peace. Then I noticed the man was eating on the burrito and rice, and the woman was just sitting there waiting for him to finish. This was a little unsettling and kind of unsettling, so I felt compelled to say something.
"Maam, in this day and age, you really don't have to wait on your husband to eat. Sir, don't you think she can eat with you too?"
He said, "we share everything"...
Then she said "I'm just waiting on the TEETH!!!" :o
0hi0 eh!
