New bags, still not sure, any thoughts?
Yes I like that plain clean look. are they a decent size inside?
quite big, just not sure if they match the bike, almost double the size of my stock ones with an outside pocket as well
I like the look, but the utility of them certainly can't be beaten! They look like they could hold a couple of 12 packs of soda each!
Looks pretty good. I like the small storage pouch on the sides of them; makes it easy to get to small items without having to unpack.
It's all a matter of taste, personnally what I love about the drifter is the full roundness of the back fender,so I would avoid to big a saddlebag, and yours seem quite large and too big for me. But if you need luggage space it's a good way to go. With the large fender in front you sure can put big bags at the rear and the bike will still look balance......but I like to show off my big round rear end ;D

I'd say they need to be lower. I know you'd likely need to put them out further to make that happen with your exhaust setup, but my .02 is they need to be lower to the ground. I love the clean and vintage look they have though.
Would like to get them lower but will have to fab a different bracket to do it, I'm right at the very edge of the bag now.
Looks good. Wont be short on space.

C'mon guys, be honest. It seems no matter what anybody does to their bike, everyone says, "Looks great!" My honest opinion? They look plain, drab, out of place, cheap. I say send 'em back and get something else.
I have come to believe they are fugly, that being said they are quite roomy and will do for this summer until I strip the bike down in the winter and get her the way i want. The new sissy bar and luggage rack make them look less like a sore thumb. Thanks for the honest feedback test, I actually do appreciate it.
Well testpilot is right to a point. But personally I like them but then I am not into the studs and chrome stuff so the plain look is what I like. It also depends on what you are going to be using the bags for and how much kit you have to transport, so big and bulky might be the way to go.
But that is right you have the sissy bar and luggage rack so you can make it look your way.
Which ferry is that your on, the Wolfe Island, Amherst or Lake on the Mountain one?

I'm with Ratman... Function over Form... if it were my bike, I'd fab some brackets and lower those babies. They actually look pretty good with the 2up seat, back rest and luggage rack as they sit though.
I have a pair of those sloping bags, swept back so they look cool..What a load of rubbish, the shape of mine prevents me from packing enough in them..
Your bags are great..if I had them I would shop around for a couple of plastic storage boxes that just fit inside them, Like Tupperware, this will hold the bags to their correct shape and allow you to store stuff you need for the ride without passing through a rainstorm and taking everything out soaking wet and stained with dye or polish..
And I'd keep them high..the exhaust can get pretty hot and one of the major complaints about bags is that they burn up with the heat rising from the pipes, then the heat transfers into whatever you have in the bag and if it's an expensive plastic item it melts..

Here's a shot of a '53 Roadmaster. The bags are mounted pretty high up to clear the suspension and exhaust...
The bags seem to be a hate-or-love thing. One one hand, I agree with you: fugly. On the other, their unique look intrigues me.
How about a pic from bag level (instead of top down)?
The extra space is ideal for any bagger. Regarding the looks, they are plain Jane but you can dress them up with some studs as you have on the backrest. Are there tabs on top of the bags more for like a briefcase handle. Find those and the looks would be more appealing. Again, it's your ride and if you say they fine they are. I like the size but the looks can be better.
Personally, I like them. The small side bags makes it look better and so did adding the rack.
Can I ask where you bought them from? I find myself always pushing hard to pack too much in the oem bags.
Actually bought them used from a guy locally, I can't seem to find a name on them. Pretty sure they were a universal fit bag

Actually thinking of buying a set from him as I bought a tan Corbin so want some bags the proper shade to match
I have a question. I put saddle bags on my bike. Found the frames and the loops. Bolted the bags onto them straight through. The bottoms are sagging and rubbing on the fender. Looks like I'll need to repaint them this winter.
Is there some kind of solid frame support or a way to support the bags from sagging inward?
I seem to need the storage for a rainsuit, or to stow my jacket when weather warms up. Advice??

Go to Walmart and buy two plastic cutting boards, take them home and cut them to shape, drill them, paint them if you like, and then mount them between the loops and the bags......problem solved, and on the cheap!
