Encountered a few bugs on the way home last night.

Hey, just noticed you have a 3" gap between your headlight and windscreen - I have a similar issue. I'm considering cutting off the top of the screen (it's way too tall), but that would still leave me with the 3" gap. Does that cause you any problems with air coming through there??? Just wondering.....

GB get the missus to buy you a 3/4 helmet and then your ears will not flop about in the breeze caused by that gap..........oh bad me
GB, yeah I posted a bunch regarding your windshield, I want mine the same height as yours actually, I'm quite tall. Not much buffeting from the gap but I think the large windshield bag has something to do with that. You are correct Ratman, I wouldn't even drive at night where you live at this time of year.

Oh, sorry. I know the frustration.
I rode last weekend with a bunch of Vulcan 2000s. They thought it was funny making the little 1500 ride in the back, until we got back to the hotel, and I sat back drinking a cold one while they were all scrubbing their windshields. Ha ha!
Zig know the feeling, I was down south last year to moosewings country, and my Brother in Law has a H-D with the batwing faring, never wears gloves, too macho, for the gloves thing, I am old school and always wear gloves, so anyway one evening on the way home from Gananoque, we switched bikes, and hit a section of road that had a bunch of bugs, after we got home he had to go and spent like 10 mins. scrubbing his hands to get the "stuff" off his hands...lol....
The bugs are one of the big reasons I wear gloves. Also one of the reasons I have a windshield. Way easier to clean than a helmet. Seems like at night I run into a ton of gnats here. They're not real big, but you hit a few hundred at a time. Makes for an interesting sound hitting the windshield sometimes. If you use rain-x before you ride, I've found the bugs tend to come off easier. Still have yourself and the rest of the bike to clean, but at least the windshield is easier.
