Title: Blue Angles
Post by: Troll on June 01, 2014, 07:51:33 AM
We used to have an air show here, every year. For some reason, the last one was in 2010. This year, they managed to get on the show schedule early enough, so the Blue Angles are in town. Pretty good weather, yesterday, so I went to see them from the air field. I can see the show from my house, they've been practicing all week, but there is nothing quite like being there. I know, no pictures, it didn't happen... well I have pictures! Lots of bikes out at the airport...everything you could think of, but only 1 Drifter...I did meet the boyfriend of the woman who owns the blue 2000 800 I saw last year, gave him a VDR card...now I have 9...And, now a video link: https://picasaweb.google.com/109550952480484427597/BlueAngles2014#6019943288413410322

Will it be above freezing up there yet by then, Ratman???   ;D :D

Nice pics Troll, looks like it was a nice day.  It's been near to 90 here also - almost too warm too soon, but we'll take what we get.

LMAO an air show in North Bay is watching the mosquito's mate, most are bigger than fighter planes.

I go to air shows and can appreciate it, they are not held every year.
Ones my father and I were honored guests because of winning a contest, we stood on the bleachers. He was given the official movie from the event on DVD that they shoot with a large and professional camera.

The United States had two demonstration teams. Both faced losses on other air-shows later and I don't think the Hercules is still demonstrated in all of its capabilities. I have seen the show trough binoculars but have some photo's from the Blue Angels that I will share.
