I don't have a manual and I need some help .A washer fell onto the floor when I pulled cover while doing my clutch . I think the washer came from a small idler gear with a bearing in the front cover , if this is correct please let me know .
Take a look at step 10 in this clutch spring replacement tutorial. Is this what you're talking about?

Oops! Same thing happened to my son last week only it was a washer down the throat of a new carburetor on his truck. Apparently the washer fell down on the secondary side of the carb. Got a call. He was two miles down the road. Hit the secondaries and the engine went wide open. By the time I got there all was fine....but there was the "tink" "tink" coming from the valve train. The the engine sputtered a bit then no more "tink" "tink". Wishful thinking is that the washer jammed the secondaries, held them open for a bit then fell down into the intake, into the head and bounced around the valve stem then into the combustion chamber then hopeful spit out through the exhaust valve. Note I said wishful thinking! So far so good.
