Post by: Vinnie on March 21, 2014, 23:39:52 PM
Just bought a 99 1500 lost in a Texas or Oklahoma  divorce. Would like to find prior owner for info.  Drifter has blue n black flame job with subdued skull on tank. Also has blue n black king/queen seat, sissy bar n blue n black rakaposhi style bags Bought from ex wife in unridable  condition. Just looking for what upgrades previous owner put on bike. If anyone know owner or has info bike let me know.  Thanks

Vinnie, maybe some pics would help...   if not to jog some memories, at least the rest of us could drool over your cool paint job! ;D  Didn't anybody tell you?  We like pics....

Look over in the gallery and see if anything looks like the bike... there are a lot of old pics over there. Also, where in TX? What was the lady's name - could be she kept her married name. Of course you could always ask her.  The guy might not be too receptive to providing much info if he lost the bike in a divorce, however!

You might do a search in the motorcycle section of the local craigslist.  Sometimes old adds show up on the search engines. It may have a contact number.

I have got  Drifter #2 running.  All it took was to put a plug wire back in place and stick a battery in. Although I have raided my spare parts bin for a rear fender and fender rail and I am using my tan solo to sit on.  It still needs a horn to be street legal and when I find the spares it will be good to go.  The plan is Colonel Ladies Blue for Main paint and all the black returned to black with a tombstone light abnd heathers leathers indian solo with rails.
