I added this because of the "LOW RIDER" part of the article. Back in 1977, while in the Navy in Scotland, I bought the Low Rider and picked it up when I returned to the USA. Mine was a 1978 model.

Here are a few old pics: very BAD old pics!!

The last 2 H-Ds I owned...not exactly a low rider, but pretty close. The FLT was an '80, and the SuperGlide was actually a '78 ElectraGlide converted to what you see there with a 98" S&S engine.   Between the two of them, I had 450,000 miles of fun and heartbreak....

QuoteQ: would any of you want any of them back?

That is a really good question, and a hard on to give a difinitive answer. I bought it in 1980, rode around Europe on it till 84, at the time, and place it was the ride for me and my riding style (if you want to call it that ) or type of riding I did. Came back to Canada and did one cross country trip on it, then got married, oh how things changed.
But I like Cheif's answer I would take my Drifter over the H-D for a number of reasons, now, perhaps not then but now for sure.
