According to the DO of Wisconsin, the spyder and the Morgan, as well as the T-Rex, are class 2 motorcycles.

That's how much "Class" the m/c has...  ;D

See, it's a 1-10 scale - With the DRIFTER being at "11".     I think Harley's come in at the 5-7 range, and the Vaquero is a strong 9...    8)

So a Spyder is a class 1 motorcycle but if you enclosed the driver area it would be a 3??

I hadn't read the new version for a while...Yes, a Spyder is a type 1....the others are type 2. This all started when H-D (who else?) bought a company that built a 3 wheel cycle car with a Citroen engine in the front...the Tri-Hawk, and they discovered they were on questionable legal ground about vehicle type. H-D bought the company and closed it down....again, is this a surprise?

That seems like a strange way to define a motorcycle (Type 2) According to the strictest interpretation, then, this "vehicle" (I'd call it a car) that weighs in at 1367 lbs, would be a class 2 motorcycle?  Seems odd indeed...

Type 2 Motorcycle
A Type 2 motorcycle is:
ƒ A motor vehicle designed and built to have at least three wheels in
contact with the ground with a curb weight less than 1,500 lbs. and,
ƒ A passenger and operator area with sides permanently enclosed
with rigid construction and a top which may be convertible.
Examples of Type 2 vehicles are motorized golf carts, Postal
Department mailsters, etc.

AND then, there is, or was, the Subaru 360...both as a sedan and as a "truck"...Hmmm H-D strikes again!

See what you started another fight 49 hope you are proud of yourself.......

Spyder's are class in Canada as a motorcycle the same as a Drifter, and GB drifters are a class onto themselves........
