Title: Almost done
Post by: CDNRatMan on November 25, 2013, 12:35:51 PM
So got tired of no fuel gauge on the 800, so been working on a new idea and it is almost done...........no need to guess about fuel anymore.....

first picture.......

now how many know that the rotors on a Vulcan 750 are the same part number on the 800.....so going to think this one out over the winter......
the bile is on my local kijiji for $150.00 for parts......mmmmmmmm.....something to ponder.....and think out

First pic - Ratman, you're certifiable!

Second pic - Looks like you could get the parts you want and part out the rest and make some decent money.

There you go Ratman- just add some red dye to your fuel, and you're good to go!!  Functionality without sacrificing beauty!!

I've always though it would be cool to put on one of fuel sight tube (or whatever they're called) on the bike. It gives it an old school look in my opinion. Not sure it's the most useful necessarily, but still cool.

That is a cool idea.    I might file that away for future stealing....

I wouldn't put an actually glass one on. That would be bad. Maybe a lexan tube or something similar that is very durable.

Those were my thoughts - something not easily broken.

Waiting for a response from the owner of the 750 because I think a drilled front rotor would be cool and i know someone with an 800 how would take the second one if I can score them.......mmmmmmm lexan tube, 2 small holes in tank, add some rubber tubing......mmmmmmm
