We're in the process of lowering our 800, and from reading here I understand we'll need a shorter kickstand. What year Voyager kickstand am I looking for?
Hi1 2 beers...I got a Voyager kickstand when I lowered my 800 and it was a perfect switch, bike sits just right. Trouble is it was from a ad on Kijiji and I don't remember what year it was. Seems it was the same part no for a bunch of years but I don't have it written anywhere.
I heard about this mod right after the reintroduction of the Voyager. In comparing part numbers, the same stand has been used on all of the Voyagers. The part number in question is 34024-0014. Ron Ayers (I've used them before. Good prices and fast shipping.) has them priced at $81.48. http://www.ronayers.com/Stands-C430652.aspx

Thanks, DriftinGirl, I see the answer in the next post. Can I ask how far you lowered your 800? I'm 5'1" and am planning on 2" front and back, have the parts on order. And, I'm actually 2 beers' Bride, lol. We share the screen name for convenience :)

Great info, thanks! I'll get that on order while we wait for the other parts. Appreciate ya!
No problem! I don't know if the post that the spring hooks onto is the same distance down the stand or not. You might need a different spring. Maybe Driftin Girl could advise you on that?
The original spring fit just fine! Extends fully and tucks up snugly. I lowered mine 2" front and rear. I like it but am pretty much a newbie rider. Haven't dragged the floorboards for sure. My daughter who is a much more aggressive rider says they scraped for her on every roundabout she went through. I've kept all the original stuff thinking I may put it back up when I have more experience under my belt. Of course that would mean remodelling the seat so I could still flatfoot at stops. Time will tell. ??? ;D
there are nothing but roundabouts in the Halifax area.....not even a straight street till you have a few...lol....
