Title: Finally getting to make some art parts for the Drifter
Post by: Dubliner on November 10, 2013, 18:47:52 PM
Hello All, I wont go into it but Ive been getting frequent visits from my fellow countryman Murphy lately, Hopefully he's decided Ive had enough. Anyway, I had a chance to work on a few things and Ill post more later but I just wanted to say Ill be trying to answer you directly if needed. I havent forgotten about the reflector badge and Im working on it on another screen so Ill post that later this evening. Heres a tank bezel I thought Id make for myself as Im not too fond of that big Kawasaki. I'll make a Drifter one as soon as I get the font and post a rendering.

This is just a rendering, so Ill probably make a few before I settle on a design or if you have any suggestions. I initially thought about a more detailed design but I think it would get lost.

You think this is to much detail ? I like the wing design of this plaque

I like the bezel for sure but just plain with the pictures up top would be perfect for my set up.

While I could put anything on there with either the CNC or the laser, I would say detail will get lost on a small part. The POW & wings would be very busy on a part as small as a reflector. It doesn't have to be Dog tag shaped, but I thought that was fitting, literally and figuratively. I could make a mould and make rubber floorboard inserts, you have me going now :)
PS Drift, could you send a link to that photo, it's not enlarging very well.

 8) RUBBER FLOOR BOARD MOUNTS  8)
Way cool !! Dub keep spinning them wheels man , your on a roll now  ;)
I was thinking for the wings little bigger then a reflector to maybe add to one  side of the forks . This will cover that whole reflector ( cable ) bracket up . So how fasten it to the bracket as a cover ? Here's a bigger pic hope it helps you . Gotta say I'm hooked on th floor board  now  ::)
