Anybody have any idea where I can find 1999 1500 Original Black-Out Passing Lights?
if you mean the spot \ driving lights, I could not find any for my 99 800 and settled for a set of chrome ones and had them powder coated to match the rest of the front end.
Maybe you could find something on FleaBay that you could adapt to make work for you, depending on what you want. I found these searching for "black motorcycle spot light"

and here are some black visors:

I'm looking for the original. They're out there, it's just a matter of time, I suppose. Thanks anyway.
Which ones are the original? Mine are F&S and are bullet shaped, Chief's are flatter on the back, or at least look that way in the picture...
Ya, the Fire & Steel. My original from 1999 had all the options. This one I seem to have to dig a little deeper.
ok I feel better now because mine are F&S too that had been sitting around the shop for a year or so, and I got a deal on them. Just had to powder coat them because after a year I could not find them in black.
Well, I might have to go that route. Going to pick your brain for a sec. Any idea when the build date was for 1999 Drifters? You know, the month and year stamp that's on most bikes. Can't seem to find one on mine nor remember one on my original. Kawi doesn't seem to want to get back to me, as well.
The Fire & Steel part # for the 99 is K32001-005A
Don't know about the date stamp...possibly in the VIN# there are threads on the forum discussing that.
Good luck on locating the light bar...I think NAPA has the black tractor lights that would work.
Try Kawasaki.com into ther parts search and it should give you part numbers you can still order factory parts, you just need to correct part numbers. there maybe a month or two delivery since they need to come from factory but they are stil available to buy.
I'll try that. Let you know.
There are a ton of Drifter light bars on FleaBay. Some are real Kawasaki's and some aren't Granted the are all chrome but a little powder coating can fix that.

As far as the originals I have a gene set on my '99er. There is nothing special about them. No Kawi markings. I can tell you that the black housing rusts. The cup housings are all scaly. I'm going to have to strip them and re-powder coat them this winter. Oh and one other thing. Mine have a full bullet shaped back as opposed to some flatter backs I have seen. They are tough to focus. They bump up against the windshield. I actually had to heat the windshield with a heat gun to slightly bend the corners of the windshield to get them focused correctly.
