Does anyone here remember the Red Garter Club in San Francisco, it used to be one of my favourite places back in the 60's..

Actually, I was the founder of this establishment. I later sold it and used the proceeds to help fund one of my cults.
I avoided SF even back then!!
When you entered they sold you a wooden nickle, you handed it to the bar tender and got a drink in return, There was a big notice above the bar..Two beers and everybody sings.. There was a banjo band that took notice of everyone who came in and played something they would sing along with..
The beer was sold in large glasses and although Two glasses might have been a slight exaggeration but they certainly got everyone singing.
