Post by: giodrifter on August 29, 2013, 11:44:55 AM
Hello gents,
I'm a pround new owner of a 2002 1500 drifter, im trying to replace the stock seat with a nice solo springer, add a good quality light bar and replace the handlebar with more comfortable fatty old style...any help is appreciated.

If you go the Singh saddle route then talk to him first and tell you want a solo seat that is wider up front for a 1500. See heathers leathers example. My Singh saddle was made for a real indian, is not wide enough in the front and you can see under the seat and it doesn't sit perfect in the frame. It's an excellent seat mind you but get it right the first time.

Send me an email to contact me at kscavalrynut1@yahoo.com and I will walk you thru the process on the seat.  I made it work for me and I use a standard Indian pan from Heathers.  Made my own brackets too and it doesn't wiggle and its a true springer.  I was at Drift In 2010 and 2011 with it. I have some pics but need to make new ones
