Here you have my new acquisition!!
I had been looking forward to possess a Vulcan Drifter since I saw it first, long before now (I have a Vulcan EN500 –which I'm still keeping on– for the last 15 years); And I have been looking for a drifter bike for many months. I knew Vulcan drifter was inspired by Indian style so, in order to increase that looking the most , while I was looking for the bike I thought a lot about all the customisation I'd make on it as soon as I had it.
I found it at last and, first of all, I have carried out a complete tuning for these last two weeks (I love bike garage activities as much as riding the bike; and I was not able to feel the bike completely mine without putting my own touch to it).
But, when I was doing the tuning, while I did the all-round cleaning, the adjustments and service tasks; when I removed several alien ornaments, I discovered every corner, every original shade, the heart itself of the drifter. And I really felt in love of the original Vulcan drifter spirit. I have drifted apart the idea of the 'indian customisation' for now. I'll enjoy my Vulcan Drifter just stock; only a couple of licenses: the auxiliary front lights (I think that it not break the original line) and the white bands in the wheels (I was really eager to have white tyres, and I think it enhances the vintage looking of the drifter spirit. Calm all; I know quite well what I'll have to brush in order to enjoy it 'white'; even worst with drifter rear fender)
Even that thick V logo on the fuel tank is marvellous!

If mine looked like that when I got it I would just ride it too. That's spectacular! You have to admit though, they have a different feeling when you customize them yourself.
Sweet looking ride, not much you need to do, but you can make all the little changes to make it yours, and even one two little things make it yours. now JMPHO WWW on a Drifter 800 make it look so cool and really add the extra touch of class to them, but that is just my opinion. I decided not to Indianize mine and went with all the optional parts I could find, the front engine guard, you have it, the front fender guard, and the sissy bar backrest.
Also nothing as much fun as working on my bike while there is a huge snow storm blowing outside, lots of time to clean and polish parts.
Cleaning the white walls is all part and parcel of owning the coolest looking bike on the market.
That's a GREAT LOOKING DRIFTER! (It looks to be the same model year and color as mine ;) )
Great bike, and your english is just fine.
The bike is great...I love the stripes on the fenders. As far as your English goes, it's as good as anybody's here, so don't worry about that..we all speak the same language...MOTORCYCLE!

Of course, I share the idea of some customization in order to get really your personal, exclusive, own bike. I'll show you some ideas I have for the next weeks. The introduction m@il was only a poetic licence in order to emphasize the drifter style, that 'coolest looking' of our bikes which is said by RATMAN; Hi Ratman, what's the meaning of JMPHO WWW?
