Title: Air filter/Mod opinions please.
Post by: Brent Duncan on August 12, 2013, 15:18:30 PM
I know there are a few riders on the forum that are running various diferent air filter mods, wondering opinions on what might be the best all around with least damage to te pocket book.

Quickest way is just to put in a K&N, but it won't get much of anything but a cleanable air filter. There is this:  http://www.gadgetjq.com/wood_intake.htm I chose to make the backing plate similar to this one but I used a 7" K&N for an 800 and the stock chrome cover.

Putting the $ issue aside - what do you want to achieve?

was looking for the best bang for the buck, i ended up ordering a double pack from Ted. will fit the retro drab Green paint job I'm going for on the bike better.
i will post some pics of the plasti dip soon just finishing my rear fender, and letting my hands rest from popping out all the rubber grommets, lol.
