Title: Substitute for Saddlebags
Post by: lazy-B on August 11, 2013, 08:08:20 AM
I have had saddlebags on previous motorcycles because None of my previous
motorcycles had outstanding fender skirts as the Indians or the Drifter.

I hate to cover up the unique rear fender and therefore accomplished all my
hauling in an expandable tank bag or a large duffle type bag on the rear of my
optional buddy seat.

I prefer the original solo seat over the buddy seat so that leaves the tank bag as
my only option unless one of you Drifter members have found a better solution
that does not involve covering either fender.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Sorry but I use the 2 up seat and really enjoy it and use the sissy bar to provide support for my bag and pack on the back, just so I do not cover the skirts and the sensuous lines of my ride.

Nice bike and nice solution to the saddlebag issue. In my case, my saddlebags cover the rear fenders. :(

Thanks G and the better part of it is the black pack becomes my back rest to relax against on those long trips.

Lazy-B... When I know I'm gonna' need the extra room I hook the saddlebags up... When I'm just toolin' around I like to show off the great lines of the Drifter... I purchased a "Mustang Roll Pack" gives me all the room I need, I simply strap it to my luggage rack with the straps that came with it, I'm really pleased with it overall.
