Hi to Everybody,
Does anyone replaced the original dobble muffler by two single muflers, one per each side of the bike?
Just like the attached photo (thanks to this VDOG UK member).
If possible, let me know the supplier of those mufflers
Thanks to all of you from Spain.
Those look like Roadhouse Doolies; very hard to find. Keep checking Ebay. A few people have modded a set of pipes to build a set of true duals for their bike; I did my 1500, using a set of V&H Longshots and a rear head pipe from a Nomad, plus some cutting and welding and "bracketology" I realize the bikes are different, but with a bit of ingenuity ant some parts and pieces, you should be able to build something. :)
Well that is not an 800, and I will have to look close to mine to see if it can be done. I honestly do not think you have enough room to run under the frame and mono shock with a pipe on a normal 800.
Yeah, kind of forgot about that.
Damn that's one badass Drifter, I love that battery cover and everything really, good show whoever did that one up.
Thank you,
goog appreciation RatMan, to consider the plece under the frame with the shock arm there.
I'll continue searching for it. If any fine solution appears I'll report to you.
love my dual exhaust
Can we see a picture how you went around the mono shock, or to the other side. Thanks.
Been riding alot so very little time. but I will put the bike on my lift to take some pictures so you can see how I did it.
That would be truly appreciated to see how you worked around the mono shock and the little room to work in. Also is it a band name system or a fabricated one? Thanks.
I'm also interested HOG77EL, very very appreciated some images about the solution in order to cross to the other side under the bike. Thanks in advance.
Excuse my language limitations Ratman, What is a band name system? (those concepts are not available in the dictionaries)
;) Sorry about my language abilities in spelling it should have been brand? My questions would be is it a brand name like roadhouse Vance and Hines or some name like that or ws it fabricated someplace on their own.
First Drifter I have ever seen that I thought looked better than my own. Just sayin'
Sorry a little long in getting back but just got back from Glacier Nat Park and then a ride to San Diego (Yeah I'm retired :)) ) But the brand names include NAPA and elbow grease :)) Again will post pics as soon as I can.
For clarification NAPA is just an auto parts store here in the US that sells parts which also include exhaust parts.
Hi HOG77
Nice bike, Better Life; I envy you. I'm waiting for a long bike trip for years; perhaps my greatest unfulfilled desire at the moment.
Is the black elbow for the 'second' exhaust a mettallic part?
Have a good Trip !!

That looks like the "Going To The Sun Road" between Saint Mary and West Glacier. Nice riding road. The Beartooth Pass between Montana and Wyoming is similar.
Nice bike. :)
49Reo Yeah man. What a ride it is. Lived in Great Falls for 5 years and camped up there with the family a lot. But no comparison to ridin it on a bike :)) as you well know.
I used to live out in the Swan Valley, 28 miles north of Seeley Lake. My Dad lived there up until 2006, then moved over to Stevensville. In the Swan, maybe you stopped for refreshments at a little bar called "Liquid Louies"? My dad lived right across from that bar. Lucky; had to crawl home once or twice in my youth.....lucky a semi didn't turn me in to crack filler.
dakuhosu, thanx man. by the way the memorial day run you guys have is great. was there a couple of years ago. i thing it is called the red river memorial run.
PS. I tried to blow up a pic of your drifter but I guess i don't know how to do that yet :)
49Reo, its been a while but no doubt i have been at the bar. Seely lake was always one of my favorite places to go thru on my way up to the glacier. If its north of there i am sure i made the stop. I remember a lodge somewhere where i could bring the whole family in and enjoy a beer with my burger. Montana is and always will be in my Heart. Lived in Billings and Great Falls and really found a home. In addition I am a pedal steel guitar player so I loved playing all of the country honky tonks :)
Yep, the old Red River Run, I know it all too well, it's right in the neighborhood. I really liked that 4 corners rally too. Lots of great rally's around here, the scenery is epic and I don't use that word lightly.
Wow man that is a nice lookin scoot. I can tell you have put some LTC into it. Very old school look which I love. Also notice the shifter, really adds alot!!!!!
