Title: VN900 Classic Drifter Hybrid
Post by: red73mustang on May 27, 2009, 15:07:58 PM
No not the gas electric type.....I mean putting a 800/1500 front fender from a Drifter on a Vulcan VN 900 Classic, Can it be done and is it a direct bold on?  I have been trying to find out since I got my 9 in 2006.   Sorry if it's off topic

Regards, Chet

I doubt it, but you can get the size of the 900 fork and compare to the size of the 800/1500 fork. I haven't looked into this myself. BUT this is a VERY interesting question.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply, can you tell me what to look for in terms of measurements and maybe provide a comparison to an 800 drifter?

Thanks again

The width of the forks would be the first thing.

Cheers.

Got My Drifter Front fender, It looks like it will not be a direct bolt on, but it also does not look like it's beyond the average back yard mechanic to alter it and make it fit.  Will keep you posted and try to take some pics of the build!
