Title: More pullback without cable change
Post by: eagle on May 22, 2009, 11:15:04 AM
I need about 2 inches more pullback on the handlebars but not any more height to be really comfortable on my 800.  Has anyone here done anything like this without having to replace cables? (I just replaced both throttle cables so don't want to pay for them again)

Bars sound like the way to go for you.  Risers will give you pullback, but typically they also raise the bars.

You can actually find risers that will handle the pullback without additional rise. Bars entail a LOT more work to replace... once you find the one you want. Risers are always gonna be easier... no grip replacements etc.

I don't know what riser you have on there now... but if you don't want anymore rise look for a replacement with the same rise height and additional pullback.

Cheers.
