Title: Help me here...
Post by: CDNRatMan on June 30, 2013, 18:26:29 PM
;)   ok so I saw this ad and was interested in it and sent the dude and email.....

http://london.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-motorcycle-parts-accessories-Kawasaki-Vulcan-800-Mustang-solo-seat-and-Bib-W0QQAdIdZ496932808

I asked him:
QuoteDoes it come with the mounting hardware? The brackets to mount to the frame.

thought it was a simple question......

his response was

QuoteThere is no extra mounting hardware required other then 2 screws. Pretty much fool proof!

So I responded with this
Quoteok if it is just 2 screws then I do not think it will work on a 800 Drifter. They all have 2 brackets to mount the seat. Thanks anyway

his reply to me
QuoteROFLMFAO
....OK
WHATEVER YOU SAY!!!!
YOU DO REALISE THIS IS A "SOLO" SEAT NOT A 2 UP SEAT RIGHT????

I so want to respond but I'll just let it go.....most likely it will not fit anyway......

should tell the guy, that when he picks him self up off the floor, and finds his "fa" that he just "lo" , he should pull his head out of it and go check the seat again to see what it DOES fit-  "you do realize a Drifter 800 solo seat has 4 seat bolts, right"...

I have actually never seen a solo seat up close and personal, so I could not say for sure but I know you need the mounting brackets to the frame and that is what I was getting at. Also he must not know that the rear fender moves up and down, and so the seat can not be screwed to the fender.....
