Title: Singh Saddleries
Post by: Drift1 on June 07, 2013, 17:00:32 PM
My new seat from Singh Saddleries mounted on MA-DEUCE.My fellow Drifters who are looking for a solo sprung seat let me be the first to tell ya,this seat is built like a tank and the comfort feels like the riding in an old Cadillac.I rode up to Lake George for Americade last weekend witch is 170 miles one way and it was like floating on a cloud! Here's a pic of what MA-DEUCE looks like now.

OLD SEAT                                                          NEW SEAT

just looking at it it does look nice but is it not higher then the original 2 up seat? Man that Aiden does really nice work on his bike eh!

RATMAN I'm really not sure to that question being I've never had my 2up seat installed on the bike.I do know it's the same height as the oem solo seat though.Singh has different size springs to be able to adjust the height to your preferance.I'm actually going to raise my springs up 2".

Nice look.  I like it.

So that's actually more comfortable than the OE solo??

Greenbarn the other solo seat I had on before was comfortable as well. When I opened the box when recieving it I could not believe the size of it.Take a look at the difference's in size. This thing is super comfy!

yes, that thing looks a lot better size-wise than the smaller one.  The smaller one reminds me more of a bicycle seat, which does NOT bring the word "COMFORTABLE" to mind.

LOL.....now that I have the new seat it does look tiny but it actually is pretty good sized and was very comfortable.

Eventually I'll get around to modifying the seat rail.I'll drop the height down to fit snug against the back of the seat and cut the two middle rails out to atatch the bag right to the seat. Here's a pic with the bag atatched to the seat that Singh customized for me.

So how do you plan on keeping the pickle jar attached to the bottom of the seat?  I think just a screw or a couple pop rivets through the lid to the seat pan would hold it. Then just screw the jar on & off.  I think you're onto something here.....
Makes a nice little holder for registration and the sort....      ::) ;D

That looks good, I wonder about his chummie seats....I'm sure they would be built to last, seems like everything he does is over-built.

Troll you got that right.I'm telling you the seat rail and the seat itself is built like a tank.I'll try to take pics for you tomorrow of the underside of the seat......if this rain will ever stop.

I will second everything said about his seats being built like tanks.  The comfort level is the best.  The springs compensate for the lack of regularly schedule road maintenance around here.  I have not gone on long rides yet, but I'm sure the seat will have great performance on a long day in the saddle.

I ordered some more stuff from Singh a while back and since the bike is in the bedroom now I'm in no big hurry but heres what I'm feeling. If you order what Singh has in stock you'll get it pretty fast but if you want customized stuff made to order like I did you have to be patient, in Burbank I had to wait weeks to get my cars back from the upholsterer (world famous Nacho 8)) so a month or two from India is imaginable. I trust that I'll get my stuff and judging from the seat I got before it'll be better than I could hope for. I pretty much ordered everything you could order for a Drifter, whether I use it or not, it'll all be matching and waiting if I ever want it. For the price I would advise everybody do that. I have good experiences with Indian people and use their templates for my websites and stuff and do a lot of interaction and find them to be honest, hardworking and all around decent folks. Anybody else want to chime in?

Hope you have as good luck with our seat as I am having with mine. Love the hard seat and the springs soak up the bumps better than the stock seat.  Ordered a length of fringe to line the seat to match the bags.

I like it. The whole bike really has a unique theme with it. I can appreciate it..  It also makes sense for custom things to take more time.
I mean if you take into consideration the time and effort a lot of stuff takes..
