Well, all this talk on the forum about everybody getting Singh seats, Tractor Seats, and other stuff... Lambskin covers, Mustang seat covers etc....
Not wanting to be out-done, I decided to put on my very own, CUSTOM Tractor Seat on my 800. I'm going for a 1-of-a-kind look, all the while making sure it's still comfortable.
Still have to fab up a couple of brackets, or something, but I need to make one major decision first: I have to do is decide if I want to install it in the pilot position, or perhaps on the passenger spot??? Maybe I could just use a couple ratchet straps to try it out first.
;) I like the third person seat idea.....great for hauling your mother-in-law about town.......with your wife right behind you too.......

Actually, this Drifter hobby is quite enough..... I had it in the shop for the next project. Notice in the pics there are no tank emblems......
Hobbies...my wife said I need one since I'm retired from teaching and my real job...I don't have time for no stinkin' hobbies! Here is a pic of my stock solo seat with the mustang cover and factory skirt sewn on. The P.O. cut the bottom off the skirt for some unknown reason, so what I have is all I have. I added the fringe to help cover up where the skirt SHOULD be but isn't.

Yes, if it ever gets decent out, and I get some chores done, maybe I'll get time to go riding.... That's a thought.

Sorry to divertbyour thread but how do you get rid of the tank emblems the aluminum Vulcan ones?
There is a thread on here some place dealing with that, but I couldn't find it.
I used a heat gun to warm them up as much as possible, then used nylon string behind the badge. This worked to some extent, then I used a plastic "pry-bar" to CAREFULLY pry them off. This was followed by a lot of peeling-off of the adhesive, using goo-gone and a plastic scraper.
The tape they use is good stuff.
