I have a Vance and Hines Long shots set up from an old Harley which I had and was thinking of setting them up to fit a Drifter vn800.Just trying to find out if somebody has tried any different header pipes from other Kawasaki models that would fit and clear the Drifter engine.I know the VN800 classic is interchangeable but these exhaust come as complete units.Any ideas welcomed.
I had a complete exhaust form a Harley and ended up cutting it to length to use with the vn800 header.
You might have to modify some brackets to hold the rear of the pipes.

I have to look for some pics on the exhaust mod as it has been a while since it was done on a Vulcan 800.

Anybody has the internal diameter of the stock headers since I have a pair of V&H long shot slip ons and was wondering if they would slip onto the stock header pipes.
