I'm enjoying the Drifter muchly, however I'm finding the angle of the grips (ie, the pullback angle) of the stock bars pretty rough on my wrists.
I like the look of the beach bars, but I dont see them helping this issue and also the work involved with cables etc....
Does anyone have a suggestion on a set of bars that are similar to stock but a bit less pullback? (distance from the rider isnt a concern at my height :) )
Lurch there's a gentleman that did this bar swap.They are Harley stock heritage bars and according to him no need for mods on any lines or cables.They fit perfectly.The only thing he had to do is elimanate one of the brake cable holders.The reason for his handle bar swap was his hands were falling asleep and the stock bars hurt his wrist.This dude is 6'1.Whole swap took him an hour to do.Hope this helps you,my man.

I had 2 1/2 inch risers on mine. I took them off for a low profile look and doing this rolled me up on the bars a little bit. I like much better and the bike seems to handle better. However with the risers on the bike has a more laid back and cruise feel. But I'm 5'8 and is too much. Maybe if you just throw some risers on it...
The issue isn't as much the height or the reach, but the pullback angle.
I have '83 electraglide bars with 4 1/2" pullback risers. All I had to do was remove the locating pin from the throttle housing.
