Title: Mini ape wiring
Post by: topherloaf on May 15, 2013, 10:54:26 AM
Just a quick question; if I'm going heritage sized bars in height, aside from the longer break and throttle cables do y'all just cut and splice to get longer wires?  Thanks!,,

You might get away with the stock length wiring when using the Heritage bars.

If not then yes, cut - splice - solder is what's recommended.
I've also used butt connectors in the past and never had any problems with them.

Which ever you decide make sure to cut the wires staggered so they wont be all bunched up when tucking them in.

I have a feeling that just saved me a ton of frustration.

That's one of those things that you notice when you're done and say, "Man, I could've done it differently and made it a lot easier on myself. Somebody slap me with the stupid stick".
Don't ask me how I know!   ::)

x2 and less headache down the road with possible loose connections.
