Title: Never hurts to ask
Post by: CDNRatMan on May 11, 2013, 18:24:53 PM
So went to pick up a few aprts that I had ordered. When I got to the dealer they were clearing out a couple of boxes of "stuff". I stood by and watched, a couple of tank bibs came out so I asked if they were going to be on sale and if so did they fit my bike. Manager tired to find a number on the cover, Fire & Steel bibs. No numbers no idea what bike they fit.....so told him to give it to me and I would find a home for it. Told him it was covered in dust and so it was not worth keeping because it was obvious no one wanted it......

told me if I wanted it to take and get out of his place...lol.....so I took it and left.....sharp knife, some thread.....and bingo....

The only one I know that can get free parts for his ride.....   Looks good on there, Ratman.

Also, DO NOT put your prescription glasses in your T-shirt pocket when you're not wearing a jacket.  That up-draft will eventually be just right to suck them out ....   :-[ :-[

Yup,- just my work/uniform t-shirts though.  Got our shop name and such on the back, logo and first name on the front...    Gotta have a place to carry my ink pen and little screwdriver....

T-shirts with pockets...originally designed with the pockets sewn on up side down so county road workers could stick the shovel handle in the pocket and lean without needing to use their hands.

That looks great Ratman!

And BTW, if you're doing it right, Drift-In shirts don't have pockets!

thanks for the comments.

Mr. GreenBarn you supply all the employees with uniform shirts at your work. That is so cool. Must be nice to be independently wealthy, some day I might reach that place like you....

Actually, has nothing to do with being wealthy.  It's just one of many required expenses - part of doing business, just like the electric bill and heat.  If I had less expenses, taxes, and government fees, actually, maybe I could be wealthy.......
