Hi folks, I finally got around to replacing the worn front tire so I can start putting around. I've only ridden her 2 miles since purchased because the tire was very badly worn and it tracked all over the road.
Now before I start mounting the wheel on the bike can someone post the torque specs of the front axle, pinch bolt, and brake caliper bolts?
Thanks guys and I guess the 2nd tool to buy will be a repair manual so I won't have to ask these questions. ;D
Also is the Drifter the same as the Vulcan 800 Classic/Vulcan 800A when it come to specs?
There is a manual for the Vulcan 800 Classic/Vulcan 800 and then a supplement for the Drifter 800.
so torque specs are as follows
front axle clamp bolt = 25 ft-lbs
front axle nut = 80 ft-lbs
brake caliper bolts = 25 ft-lbs
there you go have a blast.....
Thanks, that's very helpful.
The wheel is on the bike now, all is needed is to be thighten.
Is this the Drifter 800 supplement manual and will it include torque specs and such?
