Post by: athens61 on May 10, 2009, 21:00:31 PM
can anyone tell me on the ignition switch one position is ON one is OFF what is the position all the way clockwise? Tried to start the bike today and nothing absolutely nothing seems the batt is dead I think the key was in the clockwise position hence the question

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanx in advance

I assume there are 3 positions on your switch... like on the 1500... ON, OFF, and PARK. The park position illuminates the tail lights - so if you left it in that position you would eventually discharge your battery.

Cheers.

800 is only on and off. off to the front on to the back.

if its not your battery it could be the starter relay. i had a similar problem with my 2006 800.

Ok. I guess its two position on the 800. So the far clockwise position would be OFF, correct?

Cheers.
