Title: prep for tomorrows ride
Post by: John Hopkins on February 16, 2013, 15:48:14 PM
I had to move two Honda shadows out of my garage to make room for my Drifter today..That's not as easy as it sounds because the Drifter was in my workshop which is behind double wooden doors and up two steps..So first step find room to turn the drifter round so it faced the doors, about a twenty point turn..open the doors and fit a ramp over the steps, ride the bike to the front of the workshop and around some obstructions...then get a mate to hold the foot of the ramp so it doesn't slide away from the steps..While doing this someone parked in front of my doors..Ok I Got that out and parked outside, then I walked through the building and rode the first Honda around the block to the front and up the ramp into the workshop and then to the back of the workshop..Then back again for the second bike which had no fuel, my mate pushed while I 'walked' the second Honda round the block and up the ramp into the workshop..Then I had to ride the Drifter the other way around the block because I live on a one way street, Every person I passed turned to look at the bike..I love the V&H Longshots..Then lock everything up for the night ready for my ride tomorrow..So tonight it will snow..

sounds pretty normal if you do not have a big garage to park in......but worth it, it finally stopped snowing here about midnight last night so another 15cm in the first part and then another  over night......I am really going to be in shape or dead after all this snow is moved....

My workshop is 45ft by 23ft with a 14ft ceiling, but it is getting a bit crowded..the garage is big enough for two large bikes or three up to 1000 cc bikes..I can ride out of the garage but not the workshop..
