Don't know about you, I like this design... couldn't ride it for more than 5 minutes but it looks good!
Geez, I really need a project bike... got nothing going this winter.

I love the look of the old cafe racer's but my back wouldn't put up with it. Part of getting older!
I'm with you on that one AClone.
Yeah, laying across a tank for a couple hundred miles doesn't sound comfortable. Good lookin' bike though.
I love the look of the rider laying on the tank and his girlfriend sitting straight up at 65mph.
I was going to put a set of clubman bars on my W650, but I can't find what I want, so I modified the stockers, turned them down, and put bar end mirrors on. The result is a "European sporting" riding position that's pretty easy on my back for about 200 miles at a sitting, while still giving me the leverage I need to flick it through corners. Maybe I'll find some bars this summer, like maybe some clip-ons I like... otherwise, I'll stick to what I have. Kawasaki is responding to the world wide demand for this now discontinued model with a new version, fuel injected, 800 cc, but no kick starter....At least they are listening to their customers.......
Great looking bike love the mirrors
I see the MV went for $68K and was considered to be a clone! On the other hand, the W650 is another case of Kawasaki making a tribute bike that is better than the original manufacturer's models and is usually around $4K to $5K. I'll have one some day.
You are right, the "W" is a real honey. I used to own a '66 BSA 650, for a short time. It wasn't that I didn't like it, it was just that there was always less of it after a ride than before....
Lest we forget, Kawasaki wasn't always in the motorcycle business. A couple of pictures of the bike that started it all....a brand you never heard of: Meguro. They built BSA A-10s under license, Kawasaki bought them, and then the die was cast. When I was in school, I didn't like history, now I can't get enough of it.....
Wouldn't mind having one of those!
