Gonna try to improve the performance and handling of my 800 my reducing the weight. Started working on the this project a few days ago. The plan is to remove 20-25lbs before I put the bike back on the road in the spring, 20-25lbs before my Lake Michigan 1000 ride in late June and hopefully another 20-25lbs before the end of the season. That's right - gonna remove 60-75lbs and of coarse I am talking about me not the bike...LOL
Way to go! Maybe you can share with some of us your diet and exercise plan for meeting your goal. I, myself could stand to lose a bunch too.
Keep us apprised of your progress! Sort of a strange way to "bob" a bike... though!
Will do and I didn't get a Drifter to "bob" it. My basic plan is to move a lot more and eat less (and healthier).
the purpose of "bobbing" a bike was to remove anything that didn't make the bike go fast... all excess weight... so I guess you are "bobbing" yourself! <g>
So if a person says they are going on a diet we can now say "Go Bob Yourself" ;D
LOL... yeah, like... have you seen TC... he bobbed the hell out of himself over the winter...
