Thanks. Americans confuse Veteran's Day with Memorial Day IMHO. Today is for those who have served and it should be a PARTY!

To all those who have served; those who returned, and those we pray will return; THANK YOU. We are all in your debt.

Fortunately, we have a line of flags along our road. The local high school has a charity deal you can sign up for. They sink a base in the ground and most flag related holidays they come out and set up a flag for about a week. But I do have my own too.

I celebrated by buying a 2005 1500 Drifter from a retired Navy corpsman nearby!  Thanked him for his service and invited him and his wife to come volunteer at the place I do, supplying the world's developing nations with medical equipment and supplies; they'd heard of us and are going to take me up on it, using their Navy training to help out.
Turned out to be a nice win-win that we all enjoyed.
