QUESTION FOR CHIEF:
CHIEF, WHY CAN'T WE COPY & PASTE PICTURES HERE???
***It would make it alot easier to post pictures, info, etc.
Ahh... why won't my Drifter run 400 mph and fly?
Answer: Because of the underlying technology.
I'm trying to think of any forum platform which allows that... can't think of any off the top of my head. Honestly, its extremely simple to me - though I know some folks have problems because of the size/type restrictions.
CHIEF:
I'm able to copy & paste pictures on the Drifter Riders Forum .
I have no idea how it is possible, but yes I can do it???
Maybe you can get info from their moderator????? ???
my bike flies......its the landings that hurt.
i think i need more air in the shocks.

I am one of 3 moderators on that forum.
i looked at your code in a recent post over there. What you are doing is copying the html from imageshack and posting it in the message. You are not actually doing a cut and paste with an image, only the code pointing to the image. I"ve been doing that since 2002 for pics located on our server and accessible via the internet.
The above pic was inserted using the img src html tag. The pic is accessible via the internet so its picked up and inserted into the post.
We don't allow use of the full set of html tags for security and coding reasons. People can insert dangerous code into posts. Delphi is a multi-million dollar company with a bunch of hired coders and managers. They can afford the infrastructure.
Likely the code you are trying to insert from imageshack has tags which aren't recognized. If you just cull it down to the img src= tag it will work, unless blocked by imageshack.
Also, if the pic is very large it could create problems with formatting. And since the pic is not uploaded to our server, it will only be available here while the link indicated in the img tag is valid.
Hope that answers your question.
Thanks for the info, I was going to try and jump the snake river canyon on my drifter. Has somebody tried that? LOL ::)
Seems like a person can't ask a question here, without somebody else making a wisea*s remark.
There are a bunch of questions answered on here. I try to make the answer clear using real world examples. Sometimes that fails.
Folks comment here like they do in real life... a bunch of people sitting around a table... digs, attaboys, and wiseguy comments. As long as the comments are respectful its not really a problem.
The difficulty is we cannot see each other and hear the voice inflections. A comment with a smile means something different from a comment with a frown. A sarcastic tone is different from a light tone.
I try to take comments lightly... whenever possible. !! ;D
Sorry if I ruffled any feather that was not my intention.
Nah.. aclone, we are here to have a good time. I doubt anyone here has that fragile an ego. And, if there is I can't see them getting any better treatment anywhere else! <lol>.
Please understand I'm old schooled, with little computer knowledge.
That's why I ask basic computer questions, that other people might find stupid...lol ;D
Ski.dive... very often the response has nothing to do with the validity of the question. Sometimes its just folks trying to have a good time. That's why posts start with one thing and end up having 14 other subjects covered.
My response to your question probably appeared flippant, but often I respond to these posts using my Evo... tiny keyboard means few words - especially at 3am!!! Later I more fully explained. Sorry if it came across poorly. The other folks were simply playing off my flying drifter remark.
I don't expect we will get rid of wiseguy responses, but that's ok as long as they are made with good humor.
Cheers
ok :) :) :)

As I sailed across the canyon, all was going well until a cross breeze caught those beautiful fenders. Things went downhill (pun intended) quickly from there...............
But the fenders helped float you safely to the ground ...
Damn fenders!! LOL Maybe a rocket bike paint it red white and blue. It could work!
Nah you'd have to be some sortat stunt daredevil to do something like that... 8)
