Post by: adeyar on November 11, 2012, 18:57:07 PM
Rode my new to me '03 drifter home from Toledo today. Well, once my brother got it off the hiway for me. (Just got my permit). Sweet bike. I know I'm gonna love this bike. I will post pics tomorrow. Ah, man, I'm stoked.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I felt that way when I rode mine 100 miles from the dealership to home!! Rode it yesterday as a matter of fact.

I still get that feeling every time I swing a leg over and go for a ride; may that last forever!!

Roadhouse exhaust to boot. Cool. That exhaust is very hard to find now, as they are extinct. One sweet bike.

Roadhouse exhaust. The owner didn't know and neither did I. But I do know it sounds awesome. Only 12,500 miles. And now I get to stare at it till spring. Ugh. It's going to be a long winter. Ha!

adeyar, Congrats, Looks great! Enjoy! May the thrill of the first day be there every time you ride it! My wife still laughs at me for buying a shop manual at a swap meet for a '99 1500 Drifter before I ever had the bike... I told her at the time... "Baby Steps" I wanna be able to take it apart and go over it as soon as I get one, Spent two days going over it before I rode it anywhere!
