Anyone know a good guide to replacing the rear rotor on a 99 drifter 1500? Never done much work on a cycle before and dont want to screw something up out of ignorance.
anyone
Just did mine on my 2002. Gadgets page has info on removing the rear wheel. You don't have to remove the fender if you have a motorcycle jack. It does help to have a second person keeping the bike steady when you do remove the wheel. It took me two tries to install the rear wheel but it was not that bad. Got my rotor from cheap cycle parts on the web they had the best price. good luck Mark http://www.gadgetjq.com/gadgetsfixitpage.htm

Also have attached a pdf file from the manual.
I strongly suggest you purchase a Kaw manual and Clymer's.
You can use an automotive floor jack under the frame to the right rear to get the rear tire off the ground. Found it easier than it sounds. Block the front tire.
Varooom
Borrowing a buddies cycle lift, parts come in next week. Looking forward to getting more familiar with my bike
