I just finished doing a few mods on my 800, I haven't been able to ride her for a few weeks and I just got back from a ride (ran great)... After my ride I did an oil change and I heard a faint but noticeable ticking noise. It sounds like it's coming from the motor.... the oil level is correct and she only has 4600 miles. I did remove the baffle in the stock exhaust, and did not seem to notice any changes in performance. I'm unsure if that ticking was there before, but I'm hyper sensitive right now. Any ideas or thoughts?
Have you ever adjusted the valves?
No I haven't.
Could be some valve noise then. You might want to check them.
